Mosque Collecting and Distributing Zakat Locally is a practical guide by Shaukat Warraich for mosque leaders, trustees, and communities seeking to strengthen local giving. Produced for Beacon Mosque, this publication explains how zakat can be collected and distributed locally across the recognised categories, helping support the poor, the needy, those in debt, travellers, reconciliation efforts, and other eligible recipients. It highlights the impact of community-based zakat and sadaqa, encouraging mosques to build trust, improve donation collection, and deliver meaningful support where it is needed most.
